The following song lyrics were written by Andre P F van der Linden and the music by Andre & Jane van der Linden, on the occasion of Rushworth's 150th celebration in 2003. Rushworth is a heritage town of about 1,000 inhabitants and is known for its ironbark forests, its gold mining history in nearby Whroo, and the Waranga Basin irrigation storage lake.When the lake is full it covers about 60 square kms and is also used for boating and fishing. Rushworth has a high proportion of talented artists.
